Bobble ("we", "us", "our") operates the website bobbledesigns.com and the Bobble web application. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your rights.
1. What we collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive:
- Email address and display name from your Google account
- Profile picture URL (if available)
When you use the app, we store:
- Project data — your crochet charts, palettes, and settings (Pro users only, stored in our database)
- Subscription status — whether you are on the Free or Pro plan, managed via Stripe
We do not collect analytics, tracking cookies, or advertising data.
2. How we use your data
- To provide and maintain the Bobble service
- To sync your projects across devices (Pro plan)
- To manage your subscription and process payments via Stripe
- To respond to support requests
3. Third-party services
We use the following services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Supabase (database & authentication) — Privacy policy
- Stripe (payment processing) — Privacy policy
- Google (sign-in via OAuth) — Privacy policy
- Cloudflare (hosting) — Privacy policy
We do not sell or share your data with any other third parties.
4. Data storage & security
Your data is stored on Supabase servers in the EU (Frankfurt, eu-central-1). Access is protected by row-level security policies, meaning only you can access your own projects. All connections use HTTPS encryption.
5. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data — use the "Download my data" button in Account settings
- Delete your data — use the "Delete my account" button, which permanently removes all your projects and account data
- Export your data — download a JSON file of all your projects and account info
Free-tier users who don't sign in have no data stored on our servers. All data stays in your browser's local storage.
6. Cookies
Bobble uses only essential cookies required for authentication (session tokens). We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.
7. Children
Bobble is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
